Pacific Mobile Communications (PMC) operates a cellular mobile phone service and the internet gateway in Papua New Guinea. Our mobile phone service is named BMobile and our internet gateway is Tiare.
The current analogue mobile phone system (AMPS) is winding down its operations and will be phased out from the 31st of October 2003. This is because we have now established our digital (GSM) network. GSM Mobile phone service is available in Port Moresby, Lae, Madang, Mt. Hagen and Goroka.
